Scalp Micropigmentation

Scalp micropigmentation is a medical, non-surgical, cosmetic tattoo that gives the illusion of a full head of hair or added density to a thinning hair line. The procedure can be used to conceal scars from hair transplantation, surgery or injury and is also an effective option for skin conditions such as Alopecia. Scalp micropigmentation can be performed on all skin types and colours.

Extremely fine, sterile nano-needles are used to deposit tiny dots of pigment into the skin to create the illusion of hair. Before treatment, an effective topical anesthetic is used to avoid any pain during the procedure. In contrast to traditional tattoos, the procedure does not penetrate the skin as deeply, and the pigments used are less prone to color change over time. An advantage of this procedure is that the hairline can be adjusted and freshened up with relative ease.

The cost per treatment depends on the size of the treatment area and how many treatments are needed to achieve the desired density and is determined upon consultation.
The procedure takes approximately two to three sessions, which can last from two to six hours each depending on the treatment area. Clients can choose from hundreds of shades of pigment to match their original hair color and skin tone.

The results of scalp micropigmentation typically last between four and seven years depending on skin type, sun exposure, pigment colour, etc.
